MARATHON INFORMATION
We all know that feeling. Nostalgia, that longing feeling for the past when things seemed better, easier, and more fun. We are missing quality tango moments with amazing music, passionate dancers, hand-selected DJ’s, a beautiful venue with great dance floor and of course with the energy of magnificent Istanbul.
Please know that Nostalgias is not a regular tango marathon. During day time we will have a brunch on a Nostalgic ship and visit historical places of Istanbul and during the night we will dance till the morning. In case you want to have attend workshops of Sebastian Jimenez & Agostina Tarchini its also a beautiful option.

Nostalgias Tango Marathon İstanbul is organized jointly by Academia Del Tango İstanbul (İris Doğdu Küley, Utku Küley and Bento İybar ) also known as organizers of Sultans Tango Marathon & Festival and one of the best tango schools in Turkey, Tango La Vida (Nilay Akgün, Muharrem Yılmazkaya and Selahattin Temurçin).

Venue No 1. – Main Venue for our event is will be Istanbul Naval Museum
Friday – Saturday- Sunday milongas will be held there.
Istanbul Naval Museum is one of the most eminent naval museum in Turkey. In terms of the richness of its collections, it is one of the preminent museums in the World. The museum, a component of Turkish naval forces, is the first naval museum in Turkey. The collection of the museum consists of approximately 20.000 objects. The main exhibition building has three floors and covers a total of 20.000 square meters. The museum serves its visitors according to the new museology concept with 4 main galleries, 2 exhibition rooms, kid’s room, cinevision, auditorium, 2 art galleries and 2 foyers.

Venue No 2. – Our Thursday and Monday milongas will be held in Tango La Vida.
Tango La Vida is considered as one of the best tango school venue in Istanbul with lots of qualities.
Tango La Vida’s 135 m2 one-piece column-free dance floor and 60 m2 semi-covered terrace resting area makes the venue perfect place for Pre – Marathon & Goodbye Milongas.
Accommodation
Ideal option for accommodation is looking for Airbnb rentals or Boutique Hotels close to the Beşiktaş area. Where is super close to the marathon venue. There are plenty of options for every budget and taste.
Covid Cancellation Policy
Considering the Covid situation, the event will be held if the national regulations will still allow it. If your country of origin will block trips to Turkey, or Turkey will block you from entering the country, you will be entitled to a complete refund of the marathon fee. In any other cases there will be no refund in case of cancellation of your registration.
